Softube is a Swedish audio company that develops hardware and software for music production. It has a strong focus on high quality sound, and a more premium position on the market. They develop new products while also modeling existing hardware products.

In-house graphic designer and project leader

Develop and create a visual identity for a new synth release. Adapt this concept to all assets for the release campaign.

Brief

Create an eye-catching visual identity for a new software synth that is based on an iconic hardware synth from the ‘90s.

Challenge

The visual identity needed to capture the vibe and authenticity of the original hardware, which played a key role in the ‘90s techno and rave scene. At the same time, it had to clearly reflect that this is a Softube product, ensuring the brand’s presence and identity remained strong.

Solution

I took inspiration from the rave scene and its iconic posters, incorporating a mix of textures, colors, and visual elements to create a modern interpretation of that aesthetic. By integrating Softube’s brand elements, such as its primary color and font, I ensured the design remained true to the brand’s identity.
