I find inspiration in handicrafts and illustration.

Hi! I’m Fanny—a graphic designer and art director that also dabbles in illustration. My design philosophy is all about balancing playfulness while also maintaining the integrity of the brand I’m working with, creating work that’s both creative and authentic. When I’m not designing, I love exploring all kinds of crafts. You’ll often find me knitting, sewing, or enjoying nature.

My design process

Every project is unique with it’s own variables, but this is generally the framework I follow to be able to create a successful design.

  • This involves meeting with the client, analyzing the brief to understand the goals and purpose, research competitors, target audience, references etc., and also collecting inspiration and ideas towards mood boards.

At this stage it’s also important to discuss any project constraints, such as budget and time limitations, and what type of deliverables are expected.

  • This is the creative early stages where we explore ideas (preferably with the team), and I start to create sketches and mood boards to show the style we are going for with the design.

  • Now it’s time to create the design. I usually explore various versions to find the one best fitting the brief and goal. At this stage it’s important to check in with the team to get feedback and make sure the design aligns with the vision and project goals.

  • When we have an initial design that we feel confident about, we need to present it to the client or stakeholders, clearly describing the process behind the idea and design decisions. Here I incorporate feedback and make adjustments while keeping the design cohesive.

  • Refining the design, preparing the deliverables and organizing assets and files.

  • At this stage we confirm with the client that they are satisfied with the result, and are happy with the collaboration. After the project I reflect on what went good and what could be improved.
